    Sodomy And Lust

I would like to come up with some striking. memorable words to introduce an album like this, becouse this is one very great fucking classic for years to come… while still delicious, EXHUMED have lost some of that slimy, vaguely nauseating coat with the latest “Slaughtercult”, forgiving some groove and ravaging catchiness for more chaos, destruction and sheer splatter crude metal… While the choice is absolutely sharable and encomiable, I must admit this first album had a particular dimension which really swallowed me in in a burst, I have been spinning this Cd for weeks since I got it (before this I only had the “Horrific Expulsion of Gore” demo and the HEMDALE split Cd IIRC), it’s really incredible the amount of flowing groove that follow this Cd, I have never headbanged this hard like with “Gore Metal”, and fuck it, I had my neck stiff for days ahr ahr… does it happen often that you cite Death Metal songs with your friends growling the lyrics in their ears? I couln’t shrug “Open the Abscess” out of my brain until I got completely saturated… What is this magic? I’d dare “this is the CARCASS of Symphonies of Sickness revived, with all the groove and flow of the best thrash metal of the 80’s…” and mind ye, I am not one to use the term Metal as a compliment often, but this Cd was incredible… The thick body of the backing growls, the medically sweet solos and notes that precede songs like “Postmortem Procedures” or “Vagitarian” have the UNIQUE feel that only CARCASS pre-wimping could express, and I honestly though nobody could have inherited them, especially in year 1998. What is more that make this Cd unique and not just a soulless clone? You better listen to this before asking, words would not be fair: blood, gore, guts flowing like beer in a viking feast, with a touch that have something magic, black humour and studs, leather and bones… Was the term Gore Metal intentionally created to define a new genre? Becouse I really believe this disc stands aside as a single entity, the GENIUS behind this Cd is out of question, it’s like hearing the heaviness of REGURGITATE enhanced by the best groovy riffs you can think. M A S T E R P I E C E!!! And for those who lost their POSSESSED cover in the previous split on Visceral, here is one SODOM for you.
  • LYMPHATIC PHLEGM (Bra): “Bloodsplattered Pathological Disfunctions” Cd 2000 Putrid Nausea

    RECENSORE: Unknown

    VOTO: 9,00/10

    DURATA: 23:32

    Tracklist

1 - Intro- The Pathology Begins... 2 - Prostatic Affection Consequent to Blenorrhagical Urethritis 3 - Congenital Tumour Constituted by Embryonic Tissues and Foetal Residues 4 - Emphysema Cadaverosum (Fermented Cadaveric Dissolution) 5 - Suppurated Inflamatory Intumescentia of the Ophtalmic Conjunctive	6 - C.H.S.-Chronic Hyperglicemy Syndrome (Diabetes Melittus) 7 - Vulva Fermentation (Regurgitate) 8 - Degenerative Affection of the Semitendious Muscular Tract 9 - Surgical Suppression of the Extremities by Abnormalities on the Basic Mechanisms of Sanguine Coagul 10 - Inflamatory Fermentation of the Castric Tissue 11 - Pneumo-Engurgigation Consequent to the Embolism of a Peripherial Branch of the Pulmonary Arteries 12 - Mephitic Emanation of Malignant Omphalitis 13 - Abnormal Multiplication of the Diaphragmatic Tissue Cells 14 - Spontaneous and Spasmodic Contraction of the Muscle Membranous Ligaments of the Esophagus 15 - Affection Characterized by Inflammation of the Bronquioles and Corresponding Pulmonary Lobules 16 - Infectious Pyelonephritis by Pathogenic Bacteriologie Proliferation on the Renal Parenchyma 17 - Sub-Acute Inguinal Lymphogranulomatous Ganglionar Maceration

LYMPHATIC PHLEGM is really terrifying… stylistically much similar to DISGORGE in song titles and cover artwork and stuff, but their music is somewhat different, much closer to noise/gore/grind, sort of heavier version of LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY or REGURITATE of which they also do a cover), backboned by ultrafast drum machine and ultra-harmonized vocals. The vocals actually stand out pretty much, as they’re recorded far higher than the rest,m but I think that’s ok, the impossibly downtuned guitars assume a sort of hypnotic effect on me, with this constant chilling buzzing, same effect I have from heavy electronics. Actually this is the effect given by a music that’s all but human, the vocals bear no resemblance to human grunts, and the drum machine add this synthetic touch. I gernerally like that stuff and LYMPHATIC PHLEGM is no exception. Frightening GoreGrind of the most heavy, extreme sort. Gargantuan sound, bloodboiling surgical butchery, a release that oozes blood…
  • PROPHECY OF DOOM (Eng):”Calculated Mind Rape” 7″ Ep 1989 Prophecy

    RECENSORE: Unknown

    VOTO: 9,00/10

    DURATA:

    Tracklist

    1 - Calculated Mind Rape 2 - Hybrid Thought

I think you seldom hear a band like this… they’re damn fucking weird. The vocals are the strangest spot, they seem as if they have been recorded 20 times on the same track.. a weird overlapping effect which sounds like maddning.. there is this echoing/filtered/harmonized effect which remind me a bit of PAN-THY-MONIUM or the DISMEMBER of “Defective Decay”, but everything crosses within a chaotic frenzy of instruments, the pace is not hyper fast, on the contrary it’s quite mid tempo, but I would conisder this band “grindcore” in the broadest sense… absolutely experimental, with some bass slapping, pop intermezzos, spoken and hysteric vocals and these unhuman inimitable vocals which really sound perverse… PROPHECY OF DOOM belong to the first flowering of English grindcore, active in the same years of NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS and MALEDICTION. A classic release.
  • PORRADA ULTRA SUICIDA (Bra): “Third World” 7″ Ep 1990 Maggot

    RECENSORE: Unknown

    VOTO: 6,00/10

    DURATA:

    Tracklist

    1 - Homicidal Paranoid 2 - Mosh!!! 3 - Third World

You have first to consider this is a way old band, that’s clear. Brazilian Death/Thrash I can’t come up with anything better to define PORRADA ULTRA SUICIDA aka PUS, sincere thrash metalò with some really great abrasive vocals… this is a band which also signed a while thereafter for a full-length album. The thing which is most outstanding is the really incredible level of grammatical errors scattered in every line (stuff like “for all the forgotten ones, sorry us”) but again, that was also a quite common elemnt in the earlier Brazilian scene, I believe that if you like old school thrash in the vein of VOLCANO, KORZUS or HOLOCAUSTO (much of the stuff back then was released by the famous Cogumelo) you could like PUS as well, but don’t be deviated by the splatter cover, we’re far from untainted Death Metal. Good vocals anyway, i repeat it…
  • GODLESS TRUTH (Cze): “selfRealization” Cd 2001 Shindy

    Tracklist

                                      - Ninetyseven 2 - Worthless
                                        Human Being 3 - Disdain 4 - He's Not... 5 - Constructing the Future
                                        6 - Next Step 7 - Isolated Victim 8 - Predetermined Disfiguration
                                        9 - I Take Your Life 9 (bonus) - Grooshpetz

GODLESS TRUTH (if you didn’t know the band, maybe you know the man behind the vocals for his pro-fanzine Katopetia) have finally moved on from Deadsun and signed for the well known Shindy prod. Even at a first look, the packaging itself appears darn professional, the logo and title on the booklet printed on semi-transparent film to leave this awesome cover intact (artwork by the also well known Zig, who also worked for DEEDS OF FLESH, VASTION, DISGORGE etc), I only remember to have seen a thing like this on the first MEATHOOK SEED album, but well, talking of more interesting things, the music is definitely professional to the excess, the sound production and musicwork really top notch. One thing that has to be said about this Cd is that it will particularily please all those who live for the most classical, straight American Brutal Death bands a la DYING FETUS / FLESHGRIND, in fact the sound is definitely 100% American, dammit! Could well be recorded in some fucking NY suburb… Technical to the bone with dozens of drum tempo changes, pristine production, and a good, full bodied voice that shift from low to lower, GODLESS TRUTH is probably the most unadulteratedly Brutish of European bands. One very characteristic thing is probably the super-metallic sound of the drumkit, kinda ENTORTUREMENT if you know the band yet even more extreme… even more than old, fucking PUNGENT STENCH, it sounds as the drummer is using a metal pipe insetead of drumsticks ah ah… cutting shorts with comments, GODLESS TRUTH are of my liking indeed, these guys really know how to play good Death, with some good melodic solos whch add variety to a stringly boned chopping sound, full of mid-tempos and unrelenting grunts… I do not have any of their previous Cds but what I heard was a bit less interesting that this one disc, Zdenek (the singer, again) having improved his mastery on shifting vocal styles all through without sounding too out of the whole muzak. For those who like modern sounding Death with great production and lot of moshing parts this is an excellent choice. Good stuff.
  • NEUROPATHIA (Pol): split Cd with VAMPIRIC MOTIVES (Jap) 1997 Bizarre Leprous

    RECENSORE: Unknown

    VOTO: -1,00/10

    DURATA:

The other band , Neuropathia , comes from Czech Republik , and play 8 trax of brutalest and evilest death-gore : an ideal cross between Polish brutal gods Damnable and Reinfection .

They are quite talented musicians who dissect you , using insane drumming , slamming riffs with some harmonized parts , and a roaring vocals completely indecipherable , coming from an hungry bear . First track “vaginismus” is my fave ; they play also 2 nice covers : Gut’s “sperminator” , and Regurgitate’s “disgorging foetus” .

But they’re higly damaged by worst lowtuned shit recorder ever listen since Suffocation’s “Breeding the spawn” or Pyphomgertum’s “Gorific carnal confessions”.

However it seems they’ve a deal with Lofty Storm rec. for an upcoming full-lenght CD. I guess next time the sound quality will be more clear , because this band has a lot of potential and could become an underground leader .

    Higly recommended !
  • VAMPIRIC MOTIVES (Jap): “Fantasy Wants Victim” split Cd with NEUROPATHIA (Pol) 1997 Bizarre Leprous

    RECENSORE: Unknown

    VOTO: -1,00/10

    DURATA:

Yes , yes , yes , another godly issue from great Bizarre Leprous !

This split CD features 2 quite well known bands . After C.U.M. ( I hope these Japanese goregrind fathers sounds familiar to you . If not , get istantly the reissue of their masterpiece “Encyclopedia of serial murders” ,now reprint by Razorback rec. ) broke-up and changed name into Vampiric Motives , they released a II chapter of pure barbarism .

For all those maniacs who missed that sclerotic piece of shit , Bizarre Leprous has now re-edited it .

The band’s style is the same of previous work : extremely raw and brutish goregrind , marked by electro drum beats , good production , and concerning an apocalyptic and phylosophical journey into serial killers demented minds .
