the label Repulse for free promos and stuff. Not that I detest them, I have lot of respect for them for their long time involvement into this music if not

for anything else. Actually this album is rather different from their debut “Eminence in Putrescence” (in my humble opinion far more interesting item anyway)

for sure. Its less dark in approach and in some way, more of a standard Death Metal release… they have clumsily tried to encapsulate some melodic

parts…the song “Compulsive Hater” could well be some song from DOMINUS or IN FLAMES which is not what I deem completely positive. But the straight Death

Metal songs are OK. Well, when I think of this band I have the feeling that they’re just trying to experiment and divert from their path without having

developed the necessary skills to do it with sense. Just if they sit down and they say: “now we do a melodic song like this” and they put on some new school

Swedish kid band in the tape deck. Then they say “now let’s make a electronic mix like FEAR FACTORY” and they make up another song. Hell, originality is

welcome, but only when it’s honest and done with the heart. Which sincerely doesn’t seem the case. Some glimpse of the old AVULSED can be heard like in the

beginning of “Exorcismo Vaginal” but its buried beneath lot of hypocrisy. My two pennies worth.

instruments and sonorities that have lasted for centuries, embodying whole generations and cultures, letting you be transported in a universe of tastes and

places you’ve never been. But what the fuck is the electric guitar meaning within this music? Bells toll in the distance as some chicks are following an

almost metal vocal line as electric guitars protrude their useless presence. I can’t tell if it feels more of new wave/dark or some sort of very calm epic

metal… in either case one track is more than enough for me. Leave folk/Celtic bands do their work, and let Metal bands to their own. The crossing of these

two genres has no meaning.

Greek word? Whatever, trying to evade the horrible reminiscences of the cover artwork, and focusing on the music, the things doesn’t get much better, there

are some slow, dreamy interminably long solos which have something of MY DYING BRIDE, while the music itself is yet some sort of low battery Death Metal slow

to mid tempo… sometimes overly melodic and repetitive with this fair attempt at epicitry which fails without a chance. Not the worst band of earth, but a

long way to be considered deserving of a plastic disc.

ballads of tragedy and coldness. But that would be a brochure to sell this CD which is in all honesty neither mature nor complete. They could have studied

the whole affair for some more time and accomplished something more than a carbon copy of so many bands, funnily most of them under this same label. There’s

a vaguely half Victorian/half Scandinavian black feel in the music, although so repetitive and long to create depression not by ability but by nerve crisis.

listener other than the funny witching vocals. The music itself is fast but is neither cold not chilling, the solos are unarticulated and thrashy (I barely

understand solos in BM at all) and the whole sound baly mastered yet a bit too distinct. There’s this fair heavy metal influence with its rides and melodies

in the background which makes me vomit, once more I struggle to realize what of interesting could somebody find in this band, not as bad as symphonic joke

bands, yet blatantly mediocre.

perspective was, assuming by the cover as well, to create some melodic, melodramatic drama for despairing vampires. No way sadly, they manage to get into my

soul. Even trying to forget these deficient vocals, the rest is not good enough to achieve anything but monotony. If you know an old Italian Horror band

called GOBINS they might be a fair comparison when trying to describe some sonorities although a useless guitar prowls beneath the tiles trying to stir

something not identifiable.
