EVENTS
Nuclear Abominations is involved in two distinct event lines: the Nuclear Abominations Fest concerts and the horror-cinema project Gli Schizzacervelli.
NUCLEAR ABOMINATIONS FEST
These are the festivals organized directly under the Nuclear Abominations banner: extreme metal events rooted in the label and fanzine history. They are separate from the activity of Gli Schizzacervelli and represent the music-focused festival branch of Nuclear Abominations.
Nuclear Abominations Fest I
In January 2021 the first, and so far only, Nuclear Abominations fest was held. A concert organized together with Tormenting Steel promotion to celebrate the 20 years of Nuclear Abominations as a label. It was a night of splatter and extreme metal, with film screenings by Spasmo Video and a magnificent selection by Alex Visani.
GLI SCHIZZACERVELLI
Gli Schizzacervelli is a horror cineclub organized by Michele Toscan, the person behind Nuclear Abominations, and Simone Cristoni. Its regular activity is dedicated to horror screenings and cineclub programming. Once a year Gli Schizzacervelli collaborate with Alex Visani on the Spasmo Fest edition held in the Modena area. The cine club focuses on horror cinema, underground and independent productions, shorts and filmmakers who rarely find space in conventional circuits.
The horror side of Nuclear Abominations has always existed alongside the extreme-metal one. Gli Schizzacervelli gives that side a regular public form through screenings, meetings and festival events.
